It’s a Family Affair

Facebooktwitter

Sam Woods and Keith Barnes know a thing or two about traveling to the far reaches of the earth in search of obscure bird species such as Przewalski’s Pinktail, Ground-roller, and Hypocolius. And they put that knowledge to use every day as directors and guides for the international bird tour company, Tropical Birding.

In this issue of Birder’s Guide to Listing and Taxonomy, they pooled their knowledge and come up with an intinerary to see all of the world’s bird families with as little travel as possible. Visiting at least 16 of these counties is something most of us will probably never do, but I promise that there’s still much of interest for you in their article, and, trust me, the photos alone are worth a look! Just click here to see for yourself. The entire October 2016 issue of Birder’s Guide is available online–it’s just one of the free services the ABA offers to the birding public.

Do you have advice of your own to offer when it comes to world birding? A specific comment about Sam and Keith’s article? An experience you want to tell us about? Please offer them in the comment section, below!
